FIEO in association with Exim Bank organized an interactive seminar on “Promoting Exports from Uttarakhand” at Dehradun on 26th August, 2022. The Chief Guest of the program was the Honorable Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami. Addressing the participants during his keynote address, the Hon’ble CM highlighted that Uttarakhand’s economic performance has displayed strong resilience, while the global economy is facing several adversities. He underlined that the state’s strong export infrastructure, conducive business environment and strong export ecosystem have ranked the state as one of the top achievers among Himalayan states in NITI Aayog’s Export Preparedness Index 2021. He also emphasized that the Uttarakhand government is committed to strengthen business environment in the state, and assisting exporters in their internationalization efforts.
Policy makers and senior government officials also enthusiastically participated in the seminar which included Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Secretary, Department of Industrial Development, AYUSH and MSME, Government of Uttarakhand and Mr. Sudhir Nautiyal, Director-Industries, Government of Uttarakhand, who threw light on the industrial sector. In the subsequent sessions, interactive presentations were made by representatives of India Exim Bank, ECGC, DGFT, FIEO and District Industries Centre, Government of Uttarakhand on the existing policy support and financing solutions available to exporters.
